After finally receiving this book, thank you Quail Island Press, I dived right into it. It's a beautiful cookbook and would be a perfect Christmas present for someone who enjoys cooking. Have already tried three recipes and all were delicious.....must admit the lemon pudding cake is FABULOUS and my fav!! In addition to having good recipes that are usable for the home cook, it's a fun book to read too as the author has added many notes on prep and wine pairings. Lovely book indeed.Product details

More than a cookbook, TWELVE makes a gorgeous edition to my coffee table! Stunning photography deliciously compliments thoughtful menu plans with easy to understand instructions. I am lucky to live on Whidbey Island with access to some of the freshest local ingredients available -- the same ones Dr G features in his famous fish stew with Penn Cove mussels -- one of my most favorite of all the menus!
This book is a feast for the senses; beautifully presented recipes with gorgeous photography and helpful tips make it truly a pleasure just to flip through the pages. It's well worth the investment and would make a wonderful gift for the "foodies" - or wannabes - in your life.
